.Can You Hear My Cries?. « Thread Started on May 6, 2008, 10:11pm »
Tail flat against his heels, a brute walked silently under the star lit sky. The blues of his coat shimmered from the moonlight as his muscled body moved along. Silver eyes searched the forest around him as he looked around before bowing his head for a drink. Cold water went down his throat as he lapped up the liquid with his pink tongue. He padded over underneath a tree and curled up, resting his head on his paws for a night sleep. He twitched in his sleep nervously, making small grunting noises.
Blood was everywhere he looked. He found himself calling an unknown name, knowing he had to find someone. Who am I looking for? I know no one. Why am I here in this place of blood shed? A bark interrupted his yelling as he looked around in the forest, seeing nothing and no one.
His eyes flashed open as he stood up, shaken from the dream. He stood up restlessly and peered up at the moon. What was that nightmare truely about? He wondered as he looked at the far away planet. He yawned and looked around, one ear flopped over as he listened for anyone near. He scartched his ear with his hind claws and tried to recall who he was yelling for. His face shown no expressions, keeping all his thoughts expertly hidden. He grumbled as the right name didnt come to him. He went under the tree again and stretched out, keeping his eyes open, not able to fall asleep again. He moved his head, trying to get comfortable, despite the nightmare he just had. He stood and circled again before curling up again, his fur fluffed up to keep himself nice and warm.
Suddenly, his ears twitched and he jumped to his feet. His nose scented another wolf near by. "Who's there?" He asked, keeping his voice controlled and calm. His eyes stared at the darkness, looking for the outline of an animal.

[Psst, they're dogs :P remember? XD]
It was late, another sleepless night, insomnia it must be, the she-dog muttered to herself. It must have been about one or two, possibly even three O'clock in the morning. Her tan mitts hit the soft grassy terrain gently. Hunni clambered slowly up a small muddy slope, her paws slipped, and her nails dug into the Earth, trying to keep herself from falling and slipping back down to the bottom. She sighed as she finally reached the time, and glanced up toward the Heavens, watching all the stars and the moon and smiling, it was weird and she wasn't sure why, but looking up at the sky always made her happy, and in a good mood. Hunni glanced behind her, it was quite dark still, it was obviously late in the night.. Or early in the morning, she wasn't sure which.
Hunni sat there, on her hill for quite a while, watching the sky, grinning happily as the stars twinkled, as if they were winking at her. Suddenly she felt thirsty, and hearing a river near by decided to travel down toward and take a drink. She moved slowly down the hill, watching her step and making sure not to step on anything that was un- seen to her eyes. As soon as she reached the bottom of the hill she moved more swiftly along, feeling more and more dehydrated by the second.
Finally she reached it, the river. Hunni quickly lapped up the water, the cold, taste- less, yet somehow delicious, liquid trickled slowly don her throat. Once satisfyed she moved toward a shelter but then noticed another dog, who evidently noticed her as well, for he demanded to know who was there. Suddenly she was scared, she didn't really like males, but perhaps he was a nice one? "Oh, I'm sorry to disturb you, I was just passing through the valley, I couldn't sleep..." She smiled partially at the male, hoping he wouldn't lunge at her and try to kill her. "I'm sorry again.. I guess I'll be on my way." Just as she finished her sentence a droplet of rain fell from the dark blue- tinted sky, and smacked her nose lightly. "Oof" She growled up to the stars. She stood and glanced around for a shelter, but saw none, well except for the one the brute was in of course. The rain began to fall furiously from the sky, punding the ground, and pelting the leaves, was it a storm? Just as Hunni asked herself tht question a flash of lightning cracked on the mountains in the distance, and she could sense the sound of the rolling thunder was not far off. "I'm really sorry to bug you.. again.. but would it be alright if I shared your shelter..? Just for this one night, and I'll be on my way when day breaks." She asked him loudly, for fear that the rain would drown out her tiny voice, though she knew he had heard her, she was practically yelling.

[Lol sorry I forgot]
His silver eyes watched the she-dog as she spoke. His ears twitched, listening to her apologize over and over again. He shook his blue merled pelt and looked at the sky as it began to suddenly rain. He shuffled himself over to make more room for her. "Hurry before your completely soaked." He spoke loudly, so he could be heard over the pelting water. He sniffed the air and took in her scent, suddenly wondering why it felt so familiar. He shook the thought away and looked up at the moon, which was slowly disappearing under the shadows of the thick dark clouds. He sighed quietly. A storm was on the way. He flinched as another bolt of lightning brightened the distance, only to be followed by the deafening roar of thunder.
He blinked and looked at the sky. He could no longer tell if it was morning or night as he lay down, taking as little space as possible as he rested his head on his paws. He looked at the female, tilting his head. "Whats your name?" He asked, the lingering thought of his nightmare echoeing in his head. He scratched the ground with his claws making random scratch marks. He yawned soundlessly, more out of boredom than tiredness. He watched the rain falling silently, going back to is thoughts. His own voice was still in his mind. Why cant I remember? He thought, annoyed. He kept his feelings in his mind as he glanced at the female.
Giving up on sleeping altogether, he watched his surroundings getting soaked. He looked at the river, which was starting to get pretty high and deep. He debated on whether suggesting they move to a different shelter if the rain didnt stop soon. He yawned again and glanced at the other dog. [Dog:Aleron] [Words:301] [Mood:Undecided]

Hunni grinned at the male as he allowed her space in his den. "Sorry.. again.. and thanks." Suddenly he asked her name. "Oh.. My name is Hunni.. and yours would be?" She spoke gently and gave a soft smile at the end of her reply.
